Databases
Gale Ebooks is a collection of digital books. The books include both reference books and nonfiction materials for research. This is an extension of the physical collection at CEHS. This collection is unique to CEHS
JSTOR: Short for Journal Storage. JSTOR contains professional academic journal articles on a broad range of topics.
CQ Researcher: In depth coverage of controversial current events. New reports are published 44 times per year.
U.S. History In Context is an engaging online experience for those seeking contextual information on hundreds of the most significant people, events and topics in U.S. History. Culture Grams: Up to date cultural information on over 160 countries. This is a great place to get started with research. CultureGrams contains statistical information.
Classroom Video on Demand: Stream educational films on your computer or iPad. Classroom Video on Demand has over 8,000 films.
World Geography and Culture: Contains information on and maps of countries around the world. Has thematic, geographic, and regional, maps in addition to other types. Includes comparison tools to look at different sets of data.
NewsBank: Current and historical United States and international newspapers. Also contains statistical information in StatBank on over 200 countries and all 50 states.

This tool is used to check student work for plagiarism. Turnitin checks student documents against online and print sources as well as other papers that have been submitted to Turnitin. Students must join a teacher's class with a class code.
